Evodiline is a naturally occurring indole alkaloid and the main biologically active component of the traditional Chinese medicine Evodiline. It has pharmacological activities such as hypertension-raising effects, antitumor, cardioprotective, weight loss, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-Alzheimer's. As a new natural anticancer agent, Wu Ju-erucine can inhibit the proliferation of many tumor cells, including those of cervical cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, T-lymphocytic leukemia, prostate cancer, and breast cancer. It also has other biological activities such as thermoregulation, antihypoxia, dermatological applications, bronchoconstriction, and hormone secretion regulation. In addition, wogonidine has good binding ability to a variety of proteins and thus can exert a variety of biological activities as a multi-target compound.

1. Anti-tumor activity
Corydaline can inhibit the proliferation of a variety of tumor cells, including the inhibition of proliferation of cervical cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, T-lymphocyte-like leukemia, prostate cancer and breast cancer.
