Ascorbic acid tetraisopalmitate is a vitamin C derivative that is stable at high temperatures and has good solubility in oil. And it has excellent skin absorption, decomposing into free vitamin C in the skin to achieve physiological functions.
Approved as a class drug activity in Japan (at a concentration of 3%) and registered as a brightening active ingredient in Korea (at a concentration of 2%), it can inhibit intracellular tyrosinase activity and melanin production, reduce UV induced cellular DNA damage, prevent lipid peroxidation and skin aging.
