Stilbenes, also known as astragalosides, are polyhydrostilbenes, which are widely found in mosses and higher plants. It has been identified as a plant antitoxin, which is produced by plants under adverse conditions such as fungal infection, UV irradiation and mechanical damage. It has been found that stilbene glycosides have various physiological activities and medicinal values, and have shown functionalities in hypolipidemic, anti-aging, and inhibition, which highlight their important research and development value in today's increasingly aging society.
The unique components of Chinese medicine He Shou Wu are stilbene glycosides.
It is a polyhydroxy stilbene compound, the active ingredient of Polygonum multiflorum, and it is a quantitative indicator for the detection of Polygonum multiflorum
Stilbene glycosides, also known as stilbene polyphenols, are polyhydrostilbenes, which are widely found in mosses and higher plants. Stilbene glycosides have been identified as a phytoalexin, which is produced by plants under adverse conditions such as fungal infection, ultraviolet radiation, and mechanical damage. Studies have found that stilbene glycosides have a variety of physiological activities and medicinal values, and have shown functionality in reducing blood lipids, anti-aging, and inhibiting tumors, which highlights its important research and development in today's aging society value.
Natural stilbene glycosides mainly exist in the form of a stilbene aglycone side chain bound to a monosaccharide group. Its chemical name is 2,3,5,4'tetrahydroxy-stilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside. The aqueous solution of stilbene glycosides is unstable at high temperature (80ºC), and its content has a negative relationship with temperature. Stilbene glycosides are very unstable in acidic solutions. In 4% sulfuric acid solution, the content decreased to 31.67% after 12 hours at room temperature, and no stilbene glycosides could be detected after 4 hours at 80°C. The degradation product is stilbene aglycone, which is further degraded into phenolic compounds. Stilbene glycosides have strong radiation stability. Under dry conditions, there is no significant difference in its content after 60Co-γ ray irradiation.
In view of the above-mentioned properties of stilbene glycosides, we usually pack the stilbene glycoside reference substance in an air-proof package, wrap it with newspaper outside, keep it away from light, and put it in the refrigerator to refrigerate. Take it as you go.
