Acetyl tetrapeptide-5 is a tetrapeptide.
Acetyl tetrapeptide-5 acts as an inhibitor of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which inhibits the synthesis of angiotensin II, thereby relieving eye pressure and reducing capillary permeability, decreasing the penetration of fluid in the blood into the periocular tissues, and thus eliminating edema.
Acetyl-Tetrapeptide-5, also known as Leye peptide, eye silk aminopeptide. The effect of glycation in the body and the increase of osmotic pressure in the eye blood vessels will cause dark circles and edema in the skin around the eyes. Some researches prove that acetyl tetrapeptide-5 can reduce puffiness by changing the microcirculation of regional skin and altering the osmotic pressure of fluid, thus effectively eliminating edema, puffiness and dark circles under the eyes.
