Lightweight magnesium oxide is white light and loose amorphous powder. Odorless and tasteless, non-toxic. The volume occupied by light weight is about three times of heavy magnesium oxide. Exposure to air is very easy to absorb water and carbon dioxide, insoluble in water and alcohol, can be dissolved in dilute acid to generate the corresponding magnesium salt solution. Specific gravity is 3.58(25), melting point is 2852ºC, boiling point 3600ºC, with slightly soluble in pure water and organic solvent, can dissolve in acid or salt solution, molecular formula MgO, molecular weight 40.31. used in metallurgy, smelting, advanced magnesium bricks, refractory materials and moisturizing materials manufacturing.



4.1. As whitening agent or sugar delicate decolorization agent:

Like usually we eat with brine point system of tofu, there is the presence of magnesium oxide, where the brine is magnesium oxide aqueous solution

In agriculture, the biggest use is as fertilizer and livestock feed, is the main element in the metabolic process of plants and animals, when used as feed for dairy cows, can prevent the nervous system dysfunction caused by magnesium deficiency.
